Bring Sally Up Resolution

So, I'm already working on some of these resolutions. I've already signed up for a fun run. I've started Roomba-ing, but the other one I'm already doing could be the easiest to remember, but the hardest to complete of them all.

A while back, there was a little internet fad around the song, Bring Sally Up. The goal was to do pushups every time the song cues you with the phrase, "bring Sally up, bring Sally down." The problem is that the song lasts about three minutes, and you'll end up doing only 30 pushups, but most of your time will be spent in the down position.

I've done it now for three days. Total smoker. Yesterday, my triceps were cramping from the strain. Already, I'm having to stop much more than I expected, and I'm doing knee pushups.

But, it's a good thing, I think. The goal is not to do it all the whole way . . . well . . . I guess that is the ultimate goal . . . but I understand it might take a while. Truth? I don't expect to actually ever be able to complete the entire challenge all the way through the song, but that's the goal.

Along the way, however, it's okay if I can't do it all. The goal is to do it every day. I can do knee pushups, I can stretch and bend all I want, if I have to get up, that's fine, too. The goal is to "do."

2026 Resolutions:

  1. Roomba Daily
  2. Fun Run Once a Month
  3. Bring Sally Up Challenge
