It's not everyday that you find a poingnant line in 30 Rock. Usually it's just inane pabulum that’s hard to laugh at. In this case it was Julienne Moore as Nancy and Alex Baldwin as Jack. Old lovers trying to work through her being married. Wanting to be together. He tells her he loves her . . .
Jack: Let me talk.
Nancy: I'll give you two words.
Jack: Make it ten.
Nancy: Four final offer.
(Pause)
Jack: I'll wait, not forever.
Nancy: I'll try, wicked hard.
It's that four words that got me. "I'll wait . . . not forever." Just hit me deep. Great line.
