I've noticed that in most rom-coms one or both of the main characters is usually a cook or a bartender. Usually, they own the place where they work. It's happened three times in the last three movies I've watched . . . er, . . . I mean researched.
Do I have that in Everyday Sox? Nope. Should I? I think I might have to. Apparently, it's somewhat expected.
I've thought about it, I think it sets up some great emotional conversations. First, you have that penchant for people to express themselves to bartenders, the fact that there is drinking which loosens lips, and finally, there is the idea of serving. Having someone be a servant to the other.
I wonder how many tropes I can include in one story.
