More for the Series

 Here are a few more for my ever growing "Evershade" series (see HERE). 

These came by way of all my friends on the Twitter and on Reddit. Again, I think they're worth capturing. 

Top Shelf Bourbon Elf, who I have quoted alot (she and I must think alike) wrote about soulmates and wrote this:

I think the sign of a true soulmate isn't someone you just want to do the super cool stuff with. A real soulmate is the person who makes any ordinary day fun. Some people make all these huge plans to do with their special someone. Forget that. Find someone you can take grocery shopping and still have a blast with. Find someone who makes you look forward to waking up on a Monday just to hear, see, or hang with them. 

I agree. Too often people make mountains when just a mole hill will do. It's about the person, not the thing or the moment. Keep it simple. Simple is perfect with that right person. 

This next from the same source is more sadly lonely. 

I choose to love you in silence

That's one that hits me in my soul. Deeply in my soul. Love it. 

This next is from ChaiKhakhra and it's simple and direct.

Yep, I've felt that before. It's a big one.

Finally there sis this from Hoss. 

There is a hidden "go fuck yourself" in every "it is what it is."

I actually laughed out loud at this. I've discussed that turn of phrase on this blog before. I think it's pernicious in a way that C'est la vie isn't. I also think it's a quitter's mantra. I like figthers. It is what we make it. Maybe I should coin the phrase "it is what we make it" cause it sure sounds like Hoss has heard "it is what it is" once too many times.
